Join APA Chicago at See You Soon Studio to learn about Anderson's love for nature and the outdoors—this love is the driving force behind his latest project to protect our public lands.
We the Public Film is a documentary film about the urgent need to protect, preserve, and defend America’s public lands. These landscapes — from national parks and forests to wildlife refuges and Bureau of Land Management land — are more than just scenic backdrops. They are the physical embodiment of our democracy: land owned by everyone, accessible to all, and entrusted to us for future generations.
Shot entirely on public lands across the country, the film features powerful interviews with Americans from all walks of life — Indigenous leaders, hunters, hikers, ranchers, scientists, off-roaders, and more. Despite their differences, they all share something vital: a deep connection to the land and a commitment to keeping it public.
This is the story of a country coming together — on the ground we all share.
Join us on Thursday, April 23, to meet director Andy Anderson and Conor Callahan (We the Public Film, Producer) to learn more about the film, and their drive to protect our public lands.

Driven by boundless curiosity and a passion for storytelling, Andy Anderson creates imagery that captures both the rawness of humanity and the grandeur of the natural world. His work spans global campaigns, editorial features, and film projects that push the craft forward — from the American West to Siberia, from cowboys and fishermen to stories of public land conservation.
Andy’s photography and film are unposed yet cinematic, intimate yet expansive. Every frame reflects his belief that the camera is more than a tool — it’s a vessel for discovery, honesty, and connection. His images don’t just observe life; they preserve it, celebrate it, and reveal truths that resonate long after the moment has passed.
