APA Chicago is in the process of planing two portfolio reviews: Art Producer/Creative Reviews to be held at the end of April and Artist Representative Reviews in early June. Attending this event is a great way to prepare to generate the biggest impact at our upcoming portfolio reviews.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Cliché yes but still very true. In this evening two-part workshop seasoned agent Patti Schumann will teach you how to up your game. In the first half, photographer Austin Walsh will join Patti to discuss their collaboration rebranding his work. This hands-on case study will help any photographer looking to strengthen their visual identity to make them more marketable to brand name clients. And, Austin will be available to answer any question regarding the process and offer practical advice on bolstering the marketability of your work.

In the second half of the evening, Patti will present best practices presenting your work to agencies, design firms, and corporate clients. Every new business meeting is a job interview. Decisions about your abilities extend far past the quality of the work in your portfolio. You are being judged as a business partner on critical soft-skills never taught. Patti will discuss the do's and don'ts to help you present with confidence and make a lasting impression.
