APA Chicago has partnered with Aaron Nace of Phlearn to bring our community a special night of hands-on retouching. Four APA photographers: Thomas Chadwick, Kristyna Archer, Dave Rentauskas, and Lindsay Gallup have submitted RAW images to be retouched and this workshop will teach a variety of workflow and Photoshop techniques to take image-making to the next level. This is the opportunity to add new skills to the toolbox.

This workshop is for intermediate Photoshop users and will cover the following concepts and techniques:

  • Compositing different photos together to create a seamless image:
  • Retouch food to make it look more appetizing
  • Portrait retouching to smooth skin and add style
  • Create a “dark portrait” with dodge and burn

Aaron has honed his digital eye and Photoshop skills producing over 450 photography and Photoshop educational videos. Phlearn was voted the number one Photoshop site by Creativebloq. This is a special chance to get hands on experience and all your Photoshop questions answered with Aaron Nace, Photoshop expert and gifted photographer.

The best news – we’re capping the evening off with a cocktail hour to help you bake new retouching techniques into memory. This is a great chance to network with photographers, retouching specialists and industry professionals to help enhance your knowledge and build your business. Guaranteed to be the most profitable three hours of the month.
